Pascall receive $1.6 million order for Power Supplies for In-Flight Entertainment System

Pascall Electronics Limited., are pleased to announce the receipt of a three year order valued at $1.6 million for the production of power supplies for use in an In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system. Shipments of the order received from Lumexis Corporation, Costa Mesa, California, USA are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2010.

Pascall provides a range of power systems, RF devices and integrated sub-systems for IFE and multimedia In-Flight Entertainment & Communications (IFE&C) systems as well as for a number of other commercial aerospace and defence applications.

Pascall power supplies are a key element of the IFE system and essential to the reliable delivery of a range of high quality in-flight entertainment features.

Rich Salter, Lumexis' Chief Technology Officer says "We chose Pascall to develop the new power supply because of their reputation for designing high reliability, state-of-the-art products. FTTS(TM) (Fiber-To-The-Screen (TM)) uses fiber optics to provide HD-quality audio-video-on demand to the seatback video screens (with about half the number of boxes and half the weight of legacy systems). It will set a new standard for reliability for IFE systems and Pascall's power supply design is a key part of this reliability".
